Saturday

12:30pm

Start arriving at the church

Parking is close to the church and the walk from the church to John & Helen’s is just 5 minutes. There will be signs on the day. Cars can be left overnight if you get a taxi home. If you’re planning to drive home late, bring a torch because there are no street lights.

1pm

Ceremony

We are getting legally married in London a week before, so this ceremony will be an unofficial opportunity to exchange vows and hear readings from some of our favourite people.

2pm

Confetti, photos, and a 5 minute walk to John & Helen’s

2:30pm

Drinks & canapes

Chatting with a first drink in-hand is one of our favourite parts of a wedding, so we’ve made this bit longer than usual and we’re serving extra canapes instead of starters so everyone can bask in the sun (fingers crossed!) as long as possible.

5pm

Dinner & speeches

We will move into the marquee and sit down for mains and dessert, punctuated by speeches from us, John & Helen, and Max’s brothers.

7pm

Drinks, dancing & evening food

After our first dance, we have an amazing 7-piece band performing 2 sets with a break in the middle. At around 21:00, fresh pizzas will be served for anyone feeling peckish.

Midnight

Sunday

Midday

We will be at the Red Lion in Brinkley for a recovery Guinness and a chance to relive the best moments from the day before. There’s a great bar snack menu, but if you fancy a proper meal then be sure to book a table so they can fit you in for a delish Sunday roast. Whether you’re popping in on your way home or settling in for the afternoon, we’d love to see you.

Gifts

Your presence is the only present we ask for. Please do not feel any pressure to give us anything else. For anyone who would like to gift us something, we have put together a registry of ideas, which you can visit by clicking the link below.

Attire

The dress code is black tie with colour encouraged for those wearing dresses! We’ve added a few ideas below but if that’s not enough, Emily has put together a Pinspiration board. If you have any questions about what to wear, please send us an email.
